Tihar

Culture of gratitude

Nepali culture is very rich in tradition of expressing gratitude and can be exemplified by the celebration of festival as seen during Tihar for example. Crow, dog, and cow are worshipped during Tihar with great enthusiasm.

Tihar is the second biggest festival for Nepali and is obsereved for 5 days. The festival has already started for this year and today is the second day -Kukur Tihar. Dog is worshipped today for its faithfulness and loyalty.
